See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

helloo everyone, as you maybe noticed I stopped posting on this account, I really enjoyed tumblr but when I started my full time job it became too overwhelming and time consuming to try to stay on top of three social media platforms, and it felt a bit redundant to post the same thing on three pages.

If you want to keep seeing my art, you can find me on twitter and instagram! 👋🏼

i am absolutely in love with your art, specially your star wars fanart. I wish i could draw and color like you. Besides practice, what advice could you give me to make cute art such as yours? Like what should i look for reference or something.. really anything helps.

thank youu so much! ♡ hmm … I don’t know if I have any other tips. Just practicing drawing from life helps a lot, like going to life drawing classes and drawing people you see around you. And looking at lots of art online, in museums, in books … I’m influenced by so many artists that I look up to, they shaped my sense of style and my aesthetic a lot. I can’t really pinpoint ways to help you draw just like me because I dont know how it exactly happened either, it wasnt like I set out with the purpose to draw just like this. It just happened naturally over time :) Your own art style will develop as you grow and as you discover what you enjoy making

Wow I am in complete awe of your most recent star wars drawings... can you kinda talk about your process? The colors and softness are so beautiful

thank you so much! ♡
first I look up lots of reference pictures so I’ll get their features and clothing right, and then I just start doodling different poses that come to my mind. I wanted to draw finnrey hugging and then I just kept doodling the other guys.

In the end I decided to put all four of them together in sort of a group photo (in the picture below Rose was still by herself). I refined the line art and started coloring them. Once I’ve blocked in the colors I always set the line art to multiply and color it, it makes everything look warmer and more lively

I use this pencil for lines, Kyle T. Websters Oil canvas 4 for filling in big areas and Gouache a gogo for details, and Shiyoon Kim’s ink bristle for blush and texture. At the end I just play around with the color and hue settings, maybe add a texture overlay.
I hope this explained it a little :)

Hello! Your drawings of Finn are so cute, but please consider the way you've lightened his skin. John Boyega has a rich, dark brown skin tone. Light-washing & colorism is a huge problem in fan art (and official photos & magazines) where dark skin is dramatically lightened by the artist because they don't think dark skin "fits" their aesthetic: don't see it as beautiful, pretty, innocent- In your group pic, you use a med-dark brown... on Finn's shirt! But his skin looks very light & blushy

Hello! I’m so sorry, I didn’t intend that at all. I think I added too many brightening effects and filters that overly lightened his skin tone. I opened the Photoshop file again and compared what it looked like without the effects I added at the end and I see now that it affected his skin tone too much.

I only meant to make the overall mood of the drawing more pastel-y, not edit his skin tone. I should have taken more care. I’m sorry, I’ll do better next time
